Vernon: What happens if a 501(c)(3) is so new that it can’t show broad financial support?

Coach: No problem!  If your new 501(c)(3) can show that it can reasonably be expected to be publicly supported, it will be treated as a public charity for its first five years regardless of how much public support it actually receives.
